How To Access

Step 1 – Enquire

You can start by submitting a technical enquiry with a short description of your access interest. This important step ensures that the specific technologies or measurements you require are available and that you are eligible before proceeding with the Access Application process. It also helps identify the most suitable facility for your needs. If you are interested, please fill the INFRACHIP Enquiry Form.

Step 2 – Apply

To formally apply, you will complete an Access Application Form. The proposal should describe the type of access required and the technical tasks to be performed at the facility. The INFRACHIP Access Interface Team is available to assist if needed.

Application and selection is a continuous/rolling process with submission deadlines occurring at the end of each calendar month.

The Selection Panel reviews your Access Application Form and decides if transnational access will be granted. The primary criterion for selection of a proposal will be scientific merit (Proposed Innovation, Expected Outcomes, and Access Planning).

Step 3 – Access

Once access is approved, you will liaise directly with the facility to organise your visit. Access can be physical or remote, depending on the infrastructure and your requirements.

Where possible (e.g. for testing and characterisation facilities), hands-on access will be provided, subject to successful completion of any required training. Where restrictions apply (e.g. advanced fabrication environments), you may still visit the facility and observe processes carried out by facility staff.

Step 4 – Outputs

At the end of the access period, a User Report will be prepared jointly with the facility, outlining the results obtained and the impact of the access. Research outcomes will typically include journal publications and conference presentations. All outputs should acknowledge support from INFRACHIP.
