Maria-Roxana Marinescu carries out her work with a strong interest in the development of medical devices and components that can contribute to advances in this area.
Her work has focused recently on bandages and, more precisely, new improved anti-bacteria bandages. To develop this innovative bandage, the researcher explores new methods for depositing carbon materials onto textiles.
Her project “Carbon nanowires on textiles for medical use” benefited from INFRACHIP infrastructures.
What brought INFRACHIP?
Electrospinning system for producing nanofibers
The electrospinning is a simple and highly effective technique for producing nanofibers. This advanced system, available through INFRACHIP at the Hellenic Mediterranean University, was used to carry out Maria-Roxana Marinescu’s Carbon nanowires on textiles for medical use project.
