INTRODUCTION

Dear readers,

First of all, best wishes for this New Year!

For the INFRACHIP project, this is also an anniversary – we are celebrating our first year of activity, and are extremely happy to see the first transnational accesses projects finally happening.

Within a year, we have added more than 150 offers to the showroom, and received 140 applications from over 30 countries!

But what’s more impressive, is the enthusiasm from various countries and profiles for our trainings, both online and in-person at partner facilities! We successfully conducted several Research Accelerator Programmes and schools and we hope this was a meaningful experience for attendees.

Thank you for your support and let’s work together to drive innovation in semiconductor chips!

The INFRACHIP Team

RAP: new successes and upcoming trainings!

The RAP “Research Accelerator Programme”, a 2-3 days training for early-career researchers and PhD students, is one of the key events of INFRACHIP. The objective is not only to give an overview of the accessible technologies, but to transmit knowledge and discuss research, helping new generations to overcome challenges and, of course, meet interesting people!

In November, six participants were invited to France for a training course on “Terahertz spectroscopy and imaging”.
They were welcomed to Le Bourget du Lac city in the CROMA lab, to meet the local team, explore the topics and discover the technology, in particular the PLATERA platform.

Thanks to the team and the participants for the nice feedback!

More RAPs are planned, right now, you can still register to:

    • 26-28th May 2025: Integrated photonics, at CEZAMAT WUT in Poland
    • 24-26st June 2025: Automated Metrology, at Chalmers in Sweden.

You can stay informed by checking regularly the dedicated page on the website.

DIGITAL SCHOOL

The first INFRACHIP Digital School “Sense” took place in November, with several webinars that were open to everyone. Dedicated to exploring sensors and various technologies and advances in the field, it welcomed experts from the INFRACHIP consortium.

You can find the replay of these presentations below and on our Youtube channel.

Another Digital school will happen on March 27th, coordinated by CEZAMAT. It will cover thematics linked to the power pillar of INFRACHIP, covering, among others, emerging PV technologies, Solution-based perovskite solar cells, high-power transistors or new paradigms for powering ultra low-power electronic devices.

You can register until March 26th and it’s free of charge! (opening soon)
