Research Accelerator at CROMA (CNRS-FMNT)
The CNRS-FMNT organises a training for PhD students and early-career researchers, at the CROMA laboratory (Centre for Radiofrequencies, Optic and Micro-nanoelectronics in the Alps) in France: “Terahertz spectroscopy and imaging”
PhD and early career researchers (2 years after obtaining your PhD max), can apply for the Research Accelerator Programme at CROMA (CNRS-FMNT) – “Terahertz spectroscopy and imaging” !
- When? – November 19-21st
- What? – 3 days of training with lectures and hands-on experiments, discovery of the facility and equipments.
- Where? – CROMA (CNRS-FMNT), Le Bourget du lac, France
- How much does it cost? – Financial support for travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses for up to 8 applicants will be provided.
About the training:
For participants, the objectives are:
– To understand the various principles involved in generating and detecting pulsed THz signals and be able to implement them experimentally as part of a TDS spectroscopy experiment.
– To understand the basics of THz imaging; understand the fundamentals of generating and detecting THz signals using optical non-linear effects.
– To take into account the technological challenges specific to this electromagnetic domain (long wavelengths, low electromagnetic energy)
During its 3 days, 3 modules will be addressed:
THz basics, Time Domain Spectroscopy and THz imaging
Applications are open until October 111th, 2pm CEST.
