About

The Aerosol Jet technology enables printing of functional inks on both 2D and 3D substrates.

Description

The Aerosol Jet technology enables printing of functional inks on both 2D and 3D substrates. The process supports a wide range of functional inks, such as conductive nano-particle inks, which can be deposited on a variety of substrates in single or multi-layer approach. The process allows printing of electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, sensors, etc.

Case study:

The user wants to have a force sensor to be printed on a dome. The substrate already hosts electrodes. The force sensitive resistors are printed onto the pre-patterned structure so that full sensing functionality is obtained by employing the aerosol printer.
